You can look forward to a warm and welcoming environment at Carlingford Yoga. We have spent many years entertaining and looking after guests. You will be made to feel very special.
Guests tell us that we undersell the food element. What can we say? We give it everything to ensure you have a delightful culinary experience.
Vegetarian and vegan dishes have be chosen for their super taste, colour and nutritional value. We keep it seasonal, source locally and hopefully inspire you to experiment with healthier food options at home.
Combined with yoga, rest and relaxation; you will be radiating good health from inside and out!
Special dietary requirements will be catered for – with pleasure.
“I haven’t eaten so well in a long time! I would have come for the food alone, although of course yoga is the main focus..”
Fiona M. (Wicklow)
To grow our own organic food has been a dream come through. Total newbies as we are at this, we are already growing our tomatoes, strawberries, celery, courgettes and some herbs. This can only get better.
We love fermented foods and we are very aware of its many benefits to health. Be it freshly made sourkraut, fermented salsa, fermented cheesecake, or milk kefir with your breakfast, you will get your daily dose of friendly bacteria. And hopefully you will realise just how tasty and fun it could be to do a bit of fermenting at home too!
Since moving into the countryside and living in the wilderness, we have become more aware of just how important it is to respect nature and eat what it has to offer us at different seasons of the year. And we are amazed at the abundance of it all. So depending when you decide to visit us, you might be treated to a wild garlic pesto, homemade gooseberry chutney, redcurrant jam, blueberry mousse.. or a bit of elderberry syrup to get your immune system strong for the winter months.
Bread is not something eaten very often in our house but when Stuart bakes his loaf of sourdough, you have got to try a slice with butter, good quality honey and a cup of tea. Because this is heaven.
Be assured that sourdough bread making is the only recipe with wheat in it. And it is always organic. We are not fans of dairy either. We always have alernatives such as oat or almond milks to hand.
We love sweet treats and have always been looking for healthy alternatives. Over the years we have collected quite a collection of healthy tasty cakes, cookies and raw desserts which everybody loves. So after a day filled with yoga, walks and fresh air, you can look forward to a surprise treat. It could be a pistachio cake, fermented raw cheesecake, cashew-nut cookies, hazelnut brownies… and there will not be a bit of sugar, wheat or dairy in sight.
